VeRelief Prime Mode 2: The Sleep Protocols

Using VeRelief right before bed for 2-10 minutes is a great way to improve sleep.

Many users report to being able to fall asleep faster, achieve a deeper sleep, and even get more hours of sleep. Sometimes after their first use!

For sleep applications, we recommend using one of two different 10-minute protocols. These protocols are best used while lying in bed or in a quiet environment right before you intend to go to sleep.

Mode 2: Auricular Vagus Nerve Stimulation for Sleep

Set the device to Mode 2, which produces a constant 25Hz frequency waveform optimized for vagus nerve stimulation intended to induce drowsiness. Hold the device in place for 5 minutes on both sides of your neck for a total of 10 minutes.

Turn up the intensity as high as you can comfortable tolerate for the duration of the session. Make sure you maintain the "buzzing" sensation throughout your ear for the duration of your session.

When you're done, you can put the cap back on the device and drift into dreamland.

Mode 2: Trigeminal Nerve Stimulation for Sleep

Set the device to Mode 2. Reduce the intensity to the 2nd LED bar before you apply the device to your trigeminal nerve in the forehead. The fore head is much more sensitive to stimulation, so you should start out at a lower intensity than typical.

Press the gel tips against the forehead. The proper location is right in the center of the forehead and above either eyeball. Start by pressing it against the left side of your forehead right above the left eyeball.

Move the device around in the area slowly until you feel a "buzzing" sensation going up into the top of your head. It should feel similar to what you feel in your hear when you stimulate the vagus nerve.

Once you find that "buzzing" sensation, hold the device in place for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, move the device to the other side of your forehead and stimulate the other side of the trigeminal nerve for another 5 minutes.

If at any time you feel the stimulation is getting uncomfortable, you can turn down the intensity or adjust it to a level that is comfortable for you.

After a full 10 minute session, place the cap back on the device and drift off into dreamland.

Final Notes
If you don't get improved sleep on your first night, it may take up to 2 weeks of continued use before you start to notice the effects.

Most sleep studies for vagus nerve stimulation don't show results until after 3-4 weeks of daily use, so don't be discouraged if you don't see results right away.
