The lifespan of electrodes for the VeRelief devices can vary depending on several factors. These factors include the type of device, how often it is used, the sensitivity of your skin, and the climate you live in.
Expected Use Life
If you use your VeRelief device for 60 total minutes or more each day, you may notice that your electrode pair wears out more quickly. In this case, it is advisable to use the gel hydration solution to keep your gel tips hydrated, or to use the skin hydration gel to keep your skin hydrated and ensure better performance of the gel tips.
- Gel hydration solution: remove the gel tips from the device and place them back in one of the jars they came in. Add a few drops of gel hydration solution to the jar, replace the cap, and then shake up the jar to rehydrate the gel tips. Then remove the gel tips and re-add them to the device. Note: do not apply gel hydration solution to the gel tips while they are in the device as this may cause the solution to seep into the device and potentially damage the device.
- Skin hydration gel: apply a small dab of skin hydration gel to the treatment area to moisturize the skin. This will ensure dry electrodes have better conductivity with the skin, will reduce sharpness during treatment, and will help you get more usage out of an older pair of gel tips.
Additionally, the climate you live in can affect the lifespan of the electrodes. In dry and cold climates, the electrodes may not last as long and may require more frequent replacement. Conversely, in hot and moist climates, the electrodes may last longer before needing replacement.
