If your VeRelief device's stimulation feels sharper or duller than usual, it’s often due to the condition of the electrodes. Below are the most common causes and steps you can take to resolve the issue.
1. Common Cause: Dry or Shrinking Electrodes
Over time, electrodes can dry out or shrink, which affects their ability to make proper contact with your skin. This can lead to:
- Sharper sensations due to reduced surface contact.
- Duller sensations or reduced output when conductivity decreases.
Electrodes that have shrunk below the slots of the VeRelief device should be replaced to ensure proper functionality and comfort.
2. Solutions for Improving Stimulation Comfort
If Electrodes Are New (1–2 Weeks Old):
- Apply a small amount of:
- Hydration gel (Hoolest or 3rd party).
- Light skin lotion.
This helps moisturize the skin and improve conductivity, enhancing stimulation comfort.
If Electrodes Are Dry or Shrunken:
- Replace the electrodes if they no longer make proper contact with the skin or if they’ve shrunk significantly below the device slots.
