How to use VeRelief to stop a panic attack
Panic attacks are common for millions of people who live with severe stress and anxiety. They are extremely unpleasant and severe fight or flight responses. For many people, there are no effective ways to stop or prevent a panic attack when they feel it coming on. VeRelief offers an incredible solution for people who experience panic attacks, as it is one of the only effective ways to stop or even prevent a panic attack from occuring when you feel it coming on.
This article will describe the panic attack protocol. It is best to practice using this protocol before you have a panic attack, so you can understand how it works. It involves slowing down your breathing to 3 breaths/minute while stimulating your vagus nerve, which is one of the most powerful ways to calm down from a stress response, drug or non-drug.
Mode 5: The Panic Protocol
Mode 5 uses a 100Hz stimulation frequency that ramps on and off in 20 second cycles. The stimulation ramps on for 15 seconds and ramps off for 5 seconds, and does this continuously.
The goal is to synchronize your inhales and exhales with the ups and downs of the stimulation. When the stimulation is in the "off" state, take a deep breath. When the stimulation is in the "on" state, you'll exhale slowly for 15 seconds. This breathing rate slows your breathing down to 3 breaths per minute.
Breathing this slowly is difficult. Don't be frustrated if you can't get it on your first try. Over time with practice you will get better at it.
First set the device in Mode 5 and turn up the intensity to a level that is strong yet comfortable. Apply the device to one side of your neck. Start to synchronize your breathing with the stimulation pattern. Do this for 1 minute, or for 3 total breath cycles.
After 1 minute, switch sides and repeat this breathing cycle while stimulating your vagus nerve on the other side of your neck. Do this for another 1 minute, or for a total of 3 breath cycles.
Once completed, sit back and notice how your mind and body feel.
Tips
Practice this protocol in normal environments to make sure you are comfortable with how to do it properly. Using this protocol is a powerful way to stop a panic attack, so it is important you are familiar with how to do it properly before you experience a panic attack.
Additionally, this protocol can be used in any other situation where you simply want to elevate your relaxation experience, such as right before bed, in the middle of a chaotic work day, or after a stressful experience.
