VeRelief comes with 5 different modes of operation. Each mode produces a stimulation waveform with a different frequency or stimulation profile. Below are the frequencies of each mode.
- Mode 1: 8Hz constant stimulation
- This mode uses fewer energy pulses per second, meaning it is a softer stimulation with less overall energy delivered to the nerve. This is the best mode for those who are extra sensitive to stimulation and need to start out slower with vagus nerve stimulation.
- Mode 2: 25Hz constant stimulation
- Best for those who need moderate amounts of stimulation for daily calm.
- Mode 3: 100Hz constant stimulation
- This is the strongest waveform at 100 pulses delivered every second. This is ideal for those living with severe stress and need something strong to calm down.
- Mode 4: 100Hz with modulated stimulation cycles. 5 seconds "on" and 5 seconds "off" continuously.
- Designed to guide your breathing down to 6 breaths-per-minute. When the stimulation is in the "off" phase, take a deep breath. When the stimulation is in the "on" phase, exhale. This is called "coherent breathing" and is best for a quick boost in HRV and enhancing mental readiness before a performance. Use this mode for up to 5 minutes for the full effect.
- Mode 5: 100Hz with modulation stimulation cycles. 15 seconds "on
and 5 seconds "off" continuously.- Designed to guide your breathing down to 3 breaths-per-minute, this is the most powerful of all the modes in the device. By exhaling for 15 seconds, you're activating the lower branches of the vagus nerve while stimulating the upper auricular branch at the same time, leading to the most effective and longest-lasting calming effects. Do this for 1 minute anytime you are feeling severe forms of stress or even panic.
