# Why is my skin turning red?

It is common to see red spots on your skin after an electrical stimulation session, which is a normal occurrence with any electrical nerve stimulation device. This happens because the electrical currents expand the capillaries in the skin, leading to increased blood flow to the stimulated area. As a result, after removing the device, you may notice red marks due to the heightened blood circulation.

These red marks typically fade within 10-20 minutes post-stimulation and will no longer be visible. Individuals with white, pasty, or sensitive skin may experience more prominent red marks, but rest assured, this is safe and the redness will diminish within the same timeframe.

If you have skin sensitivities, the red marks may persist longer and could potentially trigger an adverse reaction. For individuals known to have skin sensitivities, it is advisable to avoid using the VeRelief device.
